KUWAIT – His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah meets with the visiting retired US Marine Corps General Anthony Zinni. — KU

KUWAIT – His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received at Seif Palace yesterday Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah and the visiting retired US Marine Corps General Anthony Zinni.
Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled then held a meeting at his office with the visiting US official, accompanied by US Ambassador to Kuwait Lawrence Silverman and Deputy Assistant State Secretary for Arab Gulf Affairs Tim Lenderking. The meeting was attended by Deputy Foreign Minister Khaled Al-Jarallah, assistant foreign minister for his bureau’s affairs Ambassador Sheikh Dr Ahmad Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Sabah, the minister’s assistant for GCC affairs Ambassador Nasser Al-Mzain, Assistant Foreign Minister for Deputy Foreign Minister’s office Ambassador Ayham Al-Omar and Assistant Foreign Minister for Americas Ambassador Reem Al-Khaled.

Separately, His Highness the Amir received Palace His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah and First Deputy Premier and Defense Minister Sheikh Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
Meanwhile, His Highness the Crown Prince received National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Al-Ghanem, His Highness Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak, Sheikh Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmad, Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled, as well as Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Khaled Al-Jarrah Al-Sabah. His Highness the Crown Prince also met with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Anas Al-Saleh, in addition to Minister of Finance Dr Nayef Al-Hajraf. Meanwhile, Kuwait’s Ambassador to the United States Sheikh Salem Al-Jaber Al-Sabah was also among those to have met with His Highness the Crown Prince.

Graduation ceremony
Under the patronage and attendance of His Highness the Amir, Kuwait University (KU) is set to hold its annual graduation ceremony for graduate and postgraduate students for the academic year 2016-2017 on March 5. The ceremony takes place at Sheikh Abdullah Al-Jaber Al-Sabah Theater at Shuwaikh Campus, the Amiri Diwan said in a press statement.
